Selecting Filing Databases

NOTE: Depending on how you originally set up vMedia, it might be located in the root of vMedia rather than in the root of IMASTER. If this is the case, any references to the IMASTER folder should be referred to as vMedia.

When the Print to vMedia filing screen is first invoked, the vMedia default database will be selected. If no default database has been configured for the workstation, Print to vMedia will prompt for a database:

Click [Yes] to invoke the Select vMedia Database dialog.

Click [No] to abandon the document filing task and exit the Print to vMedia system.

When the Print to vMedia filing screen is active, the database to which the document will be saved can be changed by clicking on the [Change Database] button. Once a new database is chosen using the Select vMedia Database dialog box, the database will be used for subsequent Print to vMedia requests until:

a. a different database is chosen.

b. the Print to vMedia processing engine screen is exited.

c. the user is logged off of Windows.

d Windows is shut down or restarted.

NOTE: After events b, c, and d, the vMedia default database will be selected the next time a Print to vMedia job is created.
