Reading a Bar Code

When using bar codes, there must be at least one index field set up to hold bar code values. The bar code field can be set to read any bar code in a batch or number on a specific page.

When set to read bar codes, Image-Master can read them in four ways:

• Page by page

• Left to right

• Top to bottom

• Every page that is scanned in the batch

Each bar code is assigned three numbers. They refer to:

• Its location in the batch regardless of which page it is on
• The page number on which it is found
• The bar code number that it is on the page
