Using the Image-Master Configurator

Use the Image-Master Configurator to define the workstation type, type of scanning hardware, type of image viewer, and other configuration parameters. The Image-Master Configurator is designed to be run from each workstation at any time when the workstation’s characteristics change. The following options are set up by the Configurator:

Configuration ID - Image-Master settings such as scanner model, display type and size, window positions, and other optional features are grouped under configuration IDs. Workstations which have identical Image-Master settings can share a common configuration ID (usually A). Typically, all of the view-only workstations with similar display characteristics share configuration A, and the scanning stations share configuration B. The system administrator can configure up to 26 (A-Z) shared configuration IDs. In addition, special case stations (possibly WAN or mobile users) can have a private configuration applicable to the local workstation only.

NOTE: All workstations with the same configuration ID share user preferences for window sizes and positions. Individual users can alter these preferences and the entire workstation group will be affected by the changes. If certain workstations must have an independent configuration, assign them a unique configuration ID.

Viewer - FullView Professional, a basic image viewer, is included with Image-Master and is the default choice. If you have purchased and installed a third-party viewer, make the appropriate selection from the list or specify the exact name and location of the viewing software. Contact technical support for compatibility information and assistance with the installation and configuration of third-party viewing software.
