vMedia Bulk Document Exporter Introduction01/17/2018 - Updated screenshot to show new Viewing Module icons. 10/24/2017 - Added following note to this page. NOTE: With the introduction of vMedia’s enhanced Spectrum Exporter, Vertican Technologies will be phasing out the Class II exporters. We will continue to support Class II exporters through 2018. You can use Spectrum Exporter profiles to create the same export results as the Class II exporters. Additionally, Spectrum Exporter supports SQL databases and files stored in their native format, while the Class II exporters do not. vMedia uses two classes of bulk document exporters, referred to in this documentation as Class I Exporters and Class II Exporters. What's the difference between Class I and Class II?
Class I ExportersDocuments to be exported are sourced from within the Viewing Module by performing an appropriate query and then tagging all documents, or the desired subset, from the Search Results list.
Exporters in this class are invoked by choosing the [Export] function and filling in the parameter fields dialog unique for each type of export.
Class II ExportersClass II exporters are custom modules written for specific customers and specific vMedia database layouts, and have limited error recovery and reporting. They are documented; however, any use outside the original intended purpose is at the sole risk of the user. Most Class II exporters can be found in the [Import/Export Module]. Documents to be exported are sourced from within the Import/Export Module, by selecting the desired database and by selecting the desired Bulk Document Export option.
