File to vMedia - Conditional Document
Processing Commands
File to vMedia supports tags embedded in the
merge, that control document processing logic. Initially, the
following codes are supported. More codes will be added in future
versions of File to vMedia.
Available Processing Commands
SKIPDOC - Instructs File to vMedia to
skip the filing of the entire subdocument. This command can be
placed anywhere in the subdocument and will affect the entire
subdocument.
SKIPREST - Instructs File to vMedia
to skip filing the remainder of the subdocument from the point in
the document at which the command appears. Typically, this command
is placed at the end of the last page of the document before any
unneeded attachments or specialized forms (such as a mailing
envelope).
SKIPPAGE - Instructs File to vMedia
to skip filing the page of the subdocument on which the command
appears. This command can be placed anywhere on the page to exclude
the entire page. Multiple processing commands can appear in a
document. For example, a SKIPPAGE command embedded on page 2 and
also on page 4 would exclude both pages (but retain page 3) in the
filed document.
How to Configure
NOTE: The command prefix
can be FileTovMedia= rather than FileToImageMaster=. However, the
command prefix of FileToImageMaster= will continue to be supported
for backwards compatibility.
-
Start WordPerfect and edit the desired merge form
document.
-
Position the insertion point at the appropriate
location.
-
From the WordPerfect menu, select
Insert>Comment>Create. The Document Comment
Editing window will appear.
-
Type in the desired processing command using this
format:
FileTovMedia= processing command as shown above
where:
FileTovMedia= is the required (see previous note)
command prefix and the processing command is the appropriate
command as indicated above (i.e. SKIPDOC, SKIPREST, or
SKIPPAGE)
-
From the WordPerfect menu, select
File>Close to close the comment and return to the
document.
A WordPerfect document comment will be inserted in
the document that contains the desired File to vMedia
processing command. This comment does not appear on any printed or
imaged copy, nor does it affect the document layout for purposes
outside of File to vMedia.
How to Use
From the Collection-Master function Toolbar, select
File to vMedia, or manually execute File to vMedia by
selecting Tools>Macro>Play and type File2vMedia
as the macro to run
