Information from many sources can be converted into electronic files by using the ImageMaster printer object in Windows. The documentation regarding Print to vMedia explains how to set up and use the Print to vMedia features. The Print to vMedia printer object appears as a virtual printer in Microsoft Windows. Any application that can print to a Windows printer can utilize Print to vMedia . When a print job is sent to the vMedia printer, vMedia converts the paper representation into an electronic file, saving the image as if the document had been printed to a physical printer and then scanned. Once a document has been filed using Print to vMedia, there is no distinction between a Print to vMedia ("PTV") document and one that has been scanned through a traditional scanner. Multiple Firm IDs in BarcodesCompletely independent of paper scanning, the electronic filing feature of PTV also has the ability to recognize and process barcodes. vMedia's barcode features have been enhanced to handle barcodes from multiple firms in a robust way.
